  • 1 lb chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 –3 tbsp oil for pan-frying

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 –2 tsp sriracha optional
  • 1 tsp honey optional
  • 1 tsp lime juice optional

Optional Add-Ons

  • Green onions sliced
  • Sesame seeds
  • Lime wedges
  • Rice or noodles
  • Steamed vegetables

Instructions

  • Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
  • Season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss chicken in cornstarch until lightly coated.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken in a single layer.
  • Cook until golden, crisp, and fully cooked (6–8 minutes).
  • Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice.
  • Toss chicken in sauce or drizzle on top just before serving.
  • Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • For maximum crunch, add the sauce right before serving.
  • Air fryer alternative: Cook chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes.
  • For a less spicy version, reduce the sriracha or skip it.
  • Store chicken and sauce separately to keep the coating crisp.
  • Works great in bowls, wraps, or over rice for a full meal.
