Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450 g ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the beef: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  • 💡 Tip: For extra flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika while browning.
  • Add the vegetables: Stir in onion, garlic, and diced potatoes. Sauté for 8–10 minutes until the potatoes start to soften.
  • Season and simmer: Add salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes. Cover and cook for another 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
  • Finish and serve: Sprinkle cheddar cheese and cover for 2 minutes to melt. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a crispy touch, transfer the skillet to the oven and broil for 3–4 minutes before serving.
