A flavorful and easy seafood boil cooked directly in a steam bag, packed with shrimp, crab, mussels, potatoes, and corn, all drenched in a rich Cajun garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients
  

Seafood Mix:

  • 1 lb shrimp peeled or shell-on
  • 1 lb crab legs or claws
  • ½ lb mussels or clams
  • ½ lb smoked sausage optional

Vegetables:

  • 2 ears corn cut into pieces
  • 1 lb baby potatoes
  • 1 –2 lemons halved or sliced

Boil Seasoning:

  • 2 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Butter Sauce:

  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • Fresh parsley

Extras:

  • 1 large heat-safe oven bag or steam bag

Instructions
 

Prep the Potatoes & Corn:

  • Boil potatoes for 10 minutes until almost tender. Add corn and boil 5 more minutes. Drain.

Cook the Seafood:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil with Old Bay. Add shrimp, crab, and mussels. Cook 3–4 minutes until seafood turns pink. Drain.

Make the Butter Sauce:

  • In a saucepan, melt butter and add garlic, lemon juice, Old Bay, Cajun seasoning, and parsley.

Fill the Bag:

  • Place seafood, potatoes, corn, and lemon slices inside the oven-safe boil bag.

Add the Sauce:

  • Pour the garlic butter sauce into the bag. Seal with a heat-safe tie.

Bake:

  • Place bag on a baking tray. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10–12 minutes to steam and blend flavors.

Serve:

  • Carefully open the bag and pour everything onto a tray or large bowl.

Notes

  • Spicy version: Add extra Cajun seasoning or hot sauce.
  • More richness: Add extra butter or smoked sausage.
  • Customize seafood: Swap or add lobster tails, scallops, or crawfish.
  • Bag safety: Only use oven-safe cooking bags designed for high heat.
