Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450 g mixed seafood (shrimp, crab, white fish, scallops optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 rib celery diced (optional)
  • 1 ½ cups milk or cream
  • 1 cup seafood or chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning or paprika + thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated parmesan or cheddar cheese optional
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Seafood – Peel, devein, and chop seafood as needed. Pat dry and season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Make the Sauce – In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion, garlic, and celery. Stir in flour to form a roux. Gradually whisk in milk and broth until smooth and thickened.
  • Combine Ingredients – Fold seafood into the sauce. Add lemon juice and seasonings, adjusting to taste.
  • Assemble – Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with breadcrumbs and cheese.
  • Bake – Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve – Let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with parsley and serve warm with bread or salad.
